Quickstart

This guide walks you through making your first request to the Stacked API.

Base URL

All API requests use the following base:

https://api.donorelevate.com/api

Get an API key

1. Log in to the Stacked web app.
2. Navigate to Settings → API.
3. Click Create to generate a new key.
4. Copy the key immediately — it won't be shown again.

Make your first request

Use the X-API-Key header to authenticate. This example fetches the list of users in your organization:

Read the response

A successful response follows this envelope structure:

Your results are in the data field. Note that not all endpoints use this exact envelope — endpoint reference pages document each controller's response shape.
